The Assessment & Resource Service
What is it?A DELUXE EFAP PROGRAM-The Assessment & Resource Service is a registered non-profit society supported and administered by local employers, unions and employee groups. Its purpose is to provide assistance to people dealing with personal problems, for its member organizations.
The primary functions of the ARS are:
- To help the client assess the nature of the problem(s);
- To provide short-term counselling;
- To refer them to an appropriate community resource agency, if required;
- To ensure adequate follow-up care;
What do we mean by personal problems?
These may include:
- marital/relationship conflict
- parent-child conflict
- psychological/emotional issues
- alcohol and drug abuse
- financial and legal concerns
- stress
- grief
